Summit SWCD is joining other soil & water conservation districts and like-minded groups to promote Individual Acts of Conservation this spring.
We might not be able to get together for a rain barrel workshop or a stream clean up right now, but we want to encourage you to get outside, get out in nature, and get recognized for your good deeds along the way.
Maybe you pick up some trash the next time you go for a walk... maybe you plant a new tree in your yard... maybe you shrink your lawn by planting some native plants... whatever you're doing, we want to hear about it!!
Join the movement and tell us about your Individual Act of Conservation. We'll share it, that way we can all see how we are changing Summit County (and the world) for the better - TOGETHER!!
INDIVIDUALLY you can pick up litter in your neighborhood or nearby stream. TOGETHER we can stop plastic pollution in Lake Erie.
INDIVIDUALLY you can plant native plants and shrink your lawn. TOGETHER we can give pollinators a place to thrive.
INDIVIDUALLY you can install a rain garden or rain barrel. TOGETHER we can eliminate stormwater pollution in our rivers and streams.
INDIVIDUALLY you can plant a tree. TOGETHER we can create habitat in our watersheds.
